The Young Members Group came about through discussions by the SVC Board of Directors relating to the SVC demographics. They realized that there are few young professionals/students active in the SVC and that needs to change to secure a strong future for the Society. The Young Members Group will offer these young members (under the age of 35) a place to share their ideas as they relate to the future of the Society. The idea is that those involved in this group will be able to articulate ideas and present them to the Board of Directors to help them in implementing the SVC's long-term strategic plan.

 

Members of this growing group will also receive special conference rates and other benefits in exchange for their input and ideas regarding the growth and development of the Society as it relates to the younger generation.

We continue to add to the list of volunteers who are willing to Mentor the growing number of Young Members, students and new members who come to SVC seeking knowledge and guidance as they pursue their future in vacuum coating and related technologies.  The Volunteer Mentors, including professional affiliation, area of expertise and E-mail, are listed on the Web Site and and are available for mentoring throughout the calendar year.  The Mentors are experts in their field and have been involved in numerous SVC Technical Conferences and are able to offer worthwhile advice on how to navigate the TechCon.  Explore the Mentor page and initiate interaction today!
