I am a project student and as part of my project, I need to coat Aluminium, Gold and Lithium Fluoride by thermal evaporation at a vacuum of approximately 10^-6 mbar. The metal pellets are kept on Molybdenum boats and evaporated by resistance heating. Could anyone please suggest the current levels, optimum vacuum level, coating rate etc. to get a uniform thin film? Thanks.
