Abstract Content Guidelines

The 200-word abstract should be one paragraph, objective and technical. No trade names, trademarks, product names or a commercial tone will be allowed in the abstract. (Does not apply to presentations for the Innovators Showcase.)

Abstract should not contain reference numbers.

Refrain from using special symbols in the abstract text.

Craft your abstract text to contain words that describe the concepts of the presentation. All abstracts will be placed in a searchable format on the SVC Web Site and in the CD-ROM version of the Annual Technical Conference Proceedings.

Save and upload your abstract text as a Word file - (.doc and .docx formats are acceptable)
Presentation Times:
20 minutes for technical presentations
10 minutes for the Vendor Innovators Showcase
SVC sends an automatic e-mail acknowledgement after a successful abstract submission.
Within 10 days of your abstract submission, you will also receive notification from the SVC Administrative Offices that your abstract has been forwarded to the Program Committee for review. If your abstract is accepted, you will receive a session and time slot assignment after the SVC Program Meeting in mid-October, 2010.
If you do not receive an immediate e-mail confirmation after your abstract is submitted, please re-submit, ensuring you complete all the required fields in form below and that your abstract text file is attached and saved as a Word file.
